Cyclopentane Plants

Cyclopentane is used in the manufactures of rigid polyurethane foam as found in many domestic & commercial appliances such as refrigerators & freezers, replacing environmentally damaging alternatives such as CFC-11 and HCFC-141b. Cyclopentane is a highly flammable hydrocarbon with a class a rating equivalent to Petrol. It is a colourless liquid with a petrol like odour and has a boiling point of 49 degree celcius. As per local laws which govern the storage and handling of cyclopentane, it has to stored in a proper underground storage tank and further blanketed by nitrogen for further safety. Authorised manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, exporters and dealers of cyclopentane plants.

With the clock ticking the need for replacement of the current in use blowing agent HCFC 141b has now become all the more necessary to switch over to a more sustainable and user friendly blowing agent. Only Zero ODP blowing agents will be allowed by the regulatory authorities for the production of appliances using rigid polyurethane foam as the insulating medium.

Our Team of Engineers have a vast experience in setting up such plants where Cyclopentane is to be used as a blowing agent for the process of Rigid PU foam. Depending on our clients processing parameters and of course most important the budget, we can recommend the underground storage tank as well as drum solution.

Our services include offers from our Principals' for the right configurated plant complete engineering, including safeties, training as well as obtaining the final certification for start-up.
